Save Applegate Forests for Everyone (SAFE) is a grassroots network of Applegate residents, neighbors, and others affected by logging on public lands. SAFE is working in collaboration with the Applegate Siskiyou Alliance (ASA) to expose the BLM’s latest false narrative that the SOS Project will decrease fire risk by logging only dead and dying trees. By monitoring the realities of the project’s implementation, holding the BLM accountable for violations of their own guidelines, and empowering our community through education, we intend to save the forests we call home.
